• Visit your veterinarian before you travel:
• An appointment must be made with your veterinarian before traveling before a suitable period of not more than 10 days for a medical examination of your pet and ensuring that it has all the necessary vaccinations up to the time of travel and grant  an approved medical certificate issued upto 10 days before your flight

Choosing the appropriate flight:

If you are going to move your pet in the cabin on the plane with the luggage, be sure to book a direct flight in order not to have the trouble of waiting for the completion of the flight or changing the plane to another. Also consider the choice of the weather and the temperature. For example, if you have to travel in the summer, take an evening or early morning flight to avoid the high temperature, and avoid the crowded flights and departure times.

Select an appropriate collar for your pet with no protruding edges that may cling to the box, and write your name, destination and phone number in the small poster on the ring.

Pets carrying bag or box:

• Make sure to buy a box or bag that meets the requirements of the airlines and suitable for the size of your pet, where it  can stand and move and sleep in a comfortable position, it is better to buy it before the trip in a sufficient time and make it sit for a while to get used to it.
• Do not forget to place a poster above on the box and on the sides stating that the box has a live animal such as the use of the term "Live Animal" as well as dietary instructions.
• Write your data such as name, address, contact number and the destination in the poster of the box from all sides, and it is better to put a modern photo of your pet on the top of the box for easy access in case of trying to escape.
• Cut your pet's nails so that it does not cling the wire of the box door.

While traveling:

• It is not recommended to give your pet any sedatives before the trip, unless the doctor's decision, because of its negative impact on the animal.
• It is best not to feed your pet for at least 4 hours before the time of the trip and just give adequate amounts of water.
• Attach an appropriate amount of food and water with your pet’s  box.
• If your pet is of a scrawny or short-haired type, do not move it in the cabin of the aircraft, where these species have a higher risk of hypoxia and sunburn.
• Close the box tightly so that it is not easily be opened by the pet itself but does not close it completely so that the baggage and cargo staff can open it in case of the emergency

When you arrive at your destination:

• When you arrive and receive the box, open it as soon as possible in the nearest available and safe place to check on your animal and make sure it is in safe situation, while holding tight to the chain and collar of the neck and be aware that most airports ask to clear the box and pass it empty in the safety device.
• Observe your animal well after the flight and if you notice any strange behavior or seemed tired or refuse to eat, take it to the nearest veterinarian immediately
