The transition to the shorter and busier days of fall can be a challenge especially while travelling on a tour trip. To help ease the change, we’ve put some Autumn Wellness Tips to get you ready for the colder days which suddenly comes up while you are enjoying your Autumn tour  and keep your health in check. And do not forget to make the covid-19 check as per the rules and regulations of the airports you are traveling to.

1) Start taking a Vitamin D supplement.

We get most of our Vitamin D from the sun, try to spend most of your time out, in case you couldn’t do this so your intake decreases when the weather is colder since you spend most of your time inside during the fall/winter seasons. If you find you are not getting outside much during your tour trip, a Vitamin D supplement can boost your mood and immune system. So you must have a sufficient stock with you.

2) Take some time to yourself and your eyes and soul.

Autumn and winter are the Earth’s way of telling us to slow down. Start a trip in a colorful places that gives you more positive energy by enjoying beautiful views and scenery of mother nature in this beautiful and volatile season at the same time.

3) Get your flu shot and yearly check-up before starting your tour trip.

Self explanatory. No one likes sniffling and aching and sneezing and coughing while traveling in a tour trip which must be full of events and tour programs.

4) Boost your immune system.

You can do this by wearing medical masks, drinking plenty of water, washing your hands often to prevent sickness, and eating nutritious foods, try to be as far as from other people to prevent your immune system.

5) Get yourself ready for Daylight Savings Time.

Make your tour trip be for relaxing more that making it full of activities, try to have your dinner as early as you can, go to bed earlier when you can, always try not to be busy all the day and take a rest.

6) Make some plans for the cold days.

In the cold weather countries, try to make your day as busier and it could be moving, walkig, climbing, running gives you the feel of we warmth.

7) Moisturize your skin.

Harsh temperatures can make your skin dry. Also, you still should be wearing sunscreen.

8) Buy in-season food.

Beets, broccoli, cabbage, eggplant, kale, pumpkin, broths, roasted squash, roots and sautéed dark leafy greens are all great choices.

9) Stay active.

It can be easy to just sit around all the time, but it’s important to get in some movement throughout the day. Raking leaves or shoveling snow counts.

10) Wear layers and protect your body from the dropping temperature.

Make sure you have gloves, a scarf, ear muffs, a winter coat, warm socks, and snow boots.

Don’t forget a snowsuit while preparing your luggage before traveling.

11) Do some “spring cleaning” in your house before travelling.

Clean out your closet, organize that back room, and rid yourself of things you don’t need Insert outside items that may be damaged by rain or snowfall before travelling .

12) Prepare yourself for possible extreme weather conditions.

Do you have flashlights have batteries? Is the heating working in the hotel you are going to? Did you requested room with heating facility.

13) Get some books and magazines while staying in the hotel during the bad weather.

Who doesn’t want to sit by the fire on chilly winter nights and read a good book or watch some good TV shows even while travelling in a tour trip.

Just don’t get too engrossed…  make sure to shower and change your clothes.

14) Keep a schedule.

The cold months can seem to drag on and push us into isolation. Stay on track by scheduling time in your day to do things you like to do while traveling in your tour trip.

15) Be kind to yourself.

The holidays can cause weight gain, the shorter days can cause low mood, and the flu season can cause sickness. Listen to your body and give it what it needs, and don’t beat yourself up! Try reframing negative thoughts into positive ones.
